Lame
O.k.so my last blog looks lame-it is my husband's fault. He enlarged the pics and it broke up my journaling! I don't know how to fix it...sorry. Here are some pics of my new kitchen and fireplace that I promised a while back. It was the first time they were clean enough to actually take pics! Ron had a poker party for his bday so we were forced to clean. I kind of like it clean....didn't last long though....
Stuck!
Yikes! Last Sunday we went to Big Bear with Devyn's BFF, Tori. We had promised Dev she could play in the snow. We found a place not too far up the hill. We met this family there-they had two boys. The girls REALLY wanted to have a snowball fight. So, they enlisted help from the boys (who had these tools that looked like round tongs to form snowballs). The four kids ganged up on the two dads. It was fun until Dev got hit. She cried-not once, but three times. Twice when she got hit by snowballs, and once when the sled hit her by the eye (o.k., I will let her have the last one-I might have cried too). We went back to the car to eat lunch and we had a ticket-Ron forgot that he needed a permit to park on Foresty property. We decided to drive through town and stop in the village-Tori tripped over her boot and fell in the middle of the street while crossing with me-a car was heading straight towards us. We were on our way to the public restroom-so was everyone else...it was nasty and had a huge line! We got ice cream-go figure-cuz we weren't cold enough and then went back to sledding at a place in town. The girls kept crashing into people-and getting ran into themselves-it was REALLY crowded and those things don't have brakes!! After building a snowman (which they begged to do) we FINALLY headed home-SO DID EVERYONE ELSE! It took us 4 hours and 45 minutes to get home. Long story, but we had to turn back when we were half way down and go out the other side. There was a "pedestrian in the road" according to CHP (whatever that means....) The kids were freaked out about school the next day-their first back after three weeks off-and I was freaked about getting home so late. I had an observation at school on Monday.....We couldn't find anyplace to eat initially, we had to get more gas, and we made it home just before 10 p.m...needless to say, Monday was a long day. It will be a long time before I go back to Big Bear!
